    We at Hermitage Presbyterian School welcome you to our school.  The Principal, teachers and staff are committed to providing a safe and spiritual environment that is conducive to your child’s learning while delivering the Curriculum of Trinidad and Tobago to the best of our ability.

  • History of School:


    The Hermitage Presbyterian Primary School was built by the Canadian Missionaries.  The present building was built by Mr. Nathaan Emmanuel Nancoo in the 1950’s at its present site.  He was the first Headmaster of the new school.  He lived with his family in the Head Master’s house adjacent to the old school.
    In 2001, a Library and a Computer room were formally opened under the leadership of the Acting Principal, Mrs. Gloria Hay.  The school had an enrolment of one hundred and thirty one students and a staffing of nine members. In September 2014, Mrs. Jeneen Marie Mohammed was appointed to act as Principal Primary, while Mrs. Annette Sankar-Mohammed was appointed to act as Senior Teacher. There are currently seven teachers attached to the school with a student population of 112. Ms. Kirby Thomas is the present B.O.A.. There are two janitors with  twenty hour security available at the school.
